Undercover It Girl

This trench coat, entitled “Undercover It Girl,” was designed to protect from the judgment of others. I drew inspiration from traditional detective coats and the way they are used to keep them hidden and unidentifiable. The oversized trench features raglan-style sleeves, a rounded hood, a collar, sleeve tabs, a rain guard, and a release buckle belt. I deliberately used white fabric as a camouflage for the array of white architecture characteristic of SoHo. Additionally, I used contrast black bias binding throughout to accentuate the oversized lines and make the coat pop on the streets of SoHo. You can cinch your waist using the release belt buckle or wear it without and embrace the incognito in full force.
